Rashad Evans started in MMA as a heavyweight and won the heavyweight division of The Ultimate Fighter 2. Evans won the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship, winning by TKO over Forrest Griffin in December 2008. He remained undefeated until May 23, 2009, when he lost the Championship belt to Lyoto Machida. Evans has a strong wrestling background, wrestling throughout college and winning the National Junior College Championship in 2000.
